Nathaniel Robertson (1800-1854) of Orange County, N.C. and Warren Co., TN.
Wady is on the 1849 Warren County, TN mortality table.
Wady's Parents were Caleb Lindsey and Martha Brewer.
Caleb Lindsay's Parents were John and Mary Robertson Lindsey.
Martha Brewer's father was Thomas Sackfield Brewer.
Mary Robertson Lindsey was the Daughter of Athanatious Robertson of Brunswick Co., VA and Orange Co., NC.
Therefore, since Nathaniel Robertson was the Great Grandson of Athanatious Robertson, he and Wady were Second Cousins.
After Wady passed in 1849 or 50, Nathaniel eventually remarried Parmelia Ann Miller Youngblood.
Parmelia is named at the end of a letter written by Nathaniel to his brother, Allen Robertson, as "Nathaniel, Parmelia Ann and the children".
Parmelia bore 2 children to Nathaniel named William and Kisiah. They are listed in the 1870 Census in Warren County. The head of household is listed as "Amelia Shockley".
The following are listed in the household:
Thomas, 9
Joseph, 8
Lafayette, 7
Robertson, William, 17
Kisiah, 16
I have a picture of Thomas, Joseph and Lafayette all 3 together in one photograph.
Lafayette I have in another photo and he apparently went by the nickname of "Fate", a common
pronunciation for his name back then.
After Nathaniel died in 1854, it is apparent that she remarried. I'll have to go back to my records, but as I recall, she married David L. Shockley, aka, D. L. Shockley.
