A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Carroll J. King will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 23, 2016 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Pineville with Reverend Dale Meade officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Pineville under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.
The family requests that visitation be observed at the church Friday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
Pallbearers will be J.R. Hardwell, Robert King, Don King, Frank Crooks, T.C. Smith and Wayne Smith.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Parker Scott and Clifford Lucas.
Mr. King, 88, of Pineville, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Riverside Hospital.
Mr. King was employed by the US Postal Service for 36 years, retiring as Finance Director, Alexandria. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Pineville where he was active in fund raising projects. He served as Assistant Scout Master and Scout Master for Troop 8 and served as President of the Pineville Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Riley King, Sr. and Gertrude Dillon King.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Margaret D. King; son, Ronald C. King and wife, Renda; daughter, Donna Burch and husband, Buddy; brothers, W.R.
