Donald Duane Condiff, age 83 of Park Rapids, MN passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji, MN from a heart attack.

​Donald was born on October 9, 1933 to Harold and Evelyn(Hulberg) Condiff. He grew up with four sisters and a brother. At the age of 14, he began working for his dad who owned Northern Bait Company. Don attended Park Rapids Grade School and Park Rapids High School, and graduated in 1951. On February 20, 1952 he joined the Air Force, and was assigned to Lowry A.F. Base in Denver, CO. He was a gunner on a B29 Bomber and served in the Korean War. Later, he was stationed at Lincoln A.F. Base in Lincoln,Nebraska. While there, he met Mary Jane(Davis) . They were married on October 16, 1955. On February 20, 1956, Don was discharged from the Air Force, and worked as a lineman for the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Brainerd, MN where he was employed for 29 years. He and Jane had two daughters and one son. Jane was diagnosed with colon cancer and passed away in 1968, which left Don alone with three young children. In June 1969, he was introduced to Ernstine (Tooty) Peters and her son,Terry. Don and Tooty were married on October 11, 1969. Don retired from the telephone company in 1986 and they moved back to Park Rapids. In 2014, his wife Tooty, passed away from Alzheimer's.Don enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Don is survived by his daughters, Cheryl(Dale) Anderson of Ely, MN, Patti (Neal) Nelson of Mesa, AZ, daughter-in-law, Debbie Condiff of Baxter, MN and stepson, Terrance (Christie) Peters of Wheaton, MN.

Grandchildren; Bradley (Anne)Anderson, Keith (Amber) Anderson, Steven Anderson, Justin (Mandy) Nelson, Jenna Nelson, Nicholas Condiff, Megan (Eric) Rikimoto, Krista Wickwire, Shawn (Kelsey) Wickwire, Andrew Wickwire and Amanda (Damian) Baird, and thirteen great-grandchildren and a family friend, Nicole Helget. His brother, Gary (Judy) Condiff, sisters, Betty Rixen, Gloria (George) Kostuch, Janelle (Sam) Pike, and sister-in-law Leah Cretsinger.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Evelyn Condiff, first wife, Mary Jane (Davis), second wife, Ernstine (Tooty) (Peters),son Timothy Condiff, sister Beverly (Cubby) Webb, brother-in-law Richard(Dick) Webb, brother-in-law Morris Rixen, nephew Gary Webb, sister-in-law Dorothy Andersen, brother-in-law Harvey (Tony) Andersen, and brother-in-law Gordon Cretsinger.

Memorial service is on January 14, 2017 at 11:00am at St John’s Lutheran Church in Park Rapids, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Internment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd, MN at a later date. Arrangements are through Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids, MN.
