Doris was born June 13, 1926 at Melstone, Montana to Adolph and Rose Bohlman and was a graduate of Melstone High School. She enlisted in the U.S. Army and took her basic training at Fort Oglethorp, Georgia, then to Letterman General Hospital in San Francisco for nurses training.
While there she married the love of her life, Alfred Adolph, on April 8, 1946.
Soon thereafter they were both discharged from the Army and came back to Roundup.They ranched and managed the Farmers Union Oil Company, where she was the bookkeeper, until their retirement in 1981.
They raised their wonderful children, Linda Gayle, Darrel Lee, and Gloria Fay.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred, of 70 ½ years; daughter, Gloria (Harry) Kerr of Bowman, North Dakota; brother, Edwin (Jean) Bohlman; sister Shirley Farnum and grandchildren Shawn (Brenna) Kerr, Teri (Cole) Ehlers, Amos Adolph, Andrew (Pam) Adolph, Joshua Adolph; eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She is also survived by brothers-in-law Eddie (Dodo) Adolph and sister-in-law, Dorothy (Jack) Trygg and many nieces and nephews.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Linda, son, Darrel and grandsons, Jimmy Laurie and Jesse Adolph; one brother Ted Bohlman ans sisters, Florence Roberts and Margaret Walker.
Viewing will be held at Wier Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5-9 p.m.
Services for Doris will be held Thursday, Dec. 22 at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. with Emmanuel Baptist minister, Jason Oaks, in charge.
Burial will follow at Roundup Cemetery with military honors.
