Donald L. Gore, Jr. of Sicklerville, NJ, formerly of Blackwood, NJ went to be with the Lord on Dec. 19, 2016 at the age of 83.
He is the devoted husband of Frances Hampshire, and of the late Edith Gore. Beloved father of Donald L. Gore, III (Judy) of Blackwood, NJ, Karen Dolbow (Ken) of W. Deptford, NJ, and Kevin A. Gore (Kim) of Erial, NJ. Dear brother of Robert Gore of Southampton, PA, and Jean Murdock (Albert) of Berlin, MD. He is the proud grandfather of eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, who were all his pride and joy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and was predeceased by two of his sisters, Dorothy and Dean. He was a family man, and will be sadly missed.
Mr. Gore was the owner/operator of Donald L. Gore and Sons Roofing of Blackwood for over 50 years. He was a faithful and active member of the First Baptist Church of Blackwood, and an avid sports fan, especially supporting the Philadelphia Flyers, the Dallas Cowboys, and any team on which his grandchildren or great grandchildren played. He was a card player, and he loved Pinochle.
Viewing will be Friday, Dec. 23rd, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Blackwood, 899 Little Gloucester Rd., Blackwood, NJ 08012, where his funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Blackwood Baptist Cemetery.
