Thomas Alexander Jones died February 19, 2004 of respiratory ailments. He was 81. Tom is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Louise Moore.

Tom was born in Charlotte, NC. He attended NC State, GA. Tech and the US Naval Academy, earning a Mechanical Engineering degree from NC State.

During WW II Tom served in the Pacific aboard the USS Zane.

He moved his family to Atlanta in 1959. Tom spent his business career with the Foxboro Co., retiring in 1987. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church and Cherokee Town & Country Club.

Tom was an avid golfer and gardener, with a love for roses. He was also an artist who enjoyed creating oil paintings.

In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Susan Jones and by a daughter, Nancy Stouffer, a twin brother, James H. Jones, as well as three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Patterson's Arlington Chapel Tuesday, February 24 from 6:00-8:00 PM. There will be a memorial service Wednesday, February 25 at 11:30 AM at Mt.Vernon Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church, 471 Mt. Vernon Hwy, Atlanta, GA 30328.
