He was born in Sedro-Woolley, the son of Amos and Ethel (Ashe) Ensley.
Randy attended grade schools in Lyman and Hamilton, graduating from Sedro-Woolley High School with the Class of 1971. He worked as a Yarder Engineer for Janicki Logging for about 25 years and prior he worked on the family dairy farm.
He enjoyed the out-of-doors, pets, the blues (music), movies, reading, seafood, plus entertaining Deanna and others. Randy's "job" was to make Deanna laugh and in turn, his antics were often retold as a comedic sketch for the humor of everyone. Deanna, Randy's family, and friends will miss partaking in these activities with him.
Also, Randy was crazy about his Cocker Spaniel, "BJ", who lived 13 years. BJ could not be replaced in Randy's mind, so he never owned another dog.
Randy is survived by his wife, Deanna of the family home in Birdsview; 2 sons, Donnie Ensley and his wife, Christie and their son, Gabriel of the Cain Lake area and Jason Ensley of Skagit County; and his father, Amos Ensley and a sister, Robin Wood, both of Punkin Center and 2 nephews, Rusty and Ryan Buchanan; an aunt, Bobbie Ashe; and 2 uncles: J.B. Ensley and Ben Ashe.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Ensley and a brother Ron Ensley.
A Graveside Service was held at the Hamilton Cemetery with Pastor Joseph Miller of the Sedro-Woolley Community Church officiating.
