Mr. Jack C. Barwick Sr., 81, of St. Marys died Monday, Dec. 19, 2016.

Mr. Barwick was born and raised in Treutlen County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Barwick Sr. and Lillian Miller Barwick, and two brothers, Marvin Barwick Jr. and Archie P. Barwick.

He was the owner and operator of Jack’s Marina for 30 years and also Jack Barwick Construction. He was a member of Lothair United Methodist Church, Treutlen County.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Gail Morris Barwick; a son Jack C. “Curt” Barwick Jr. and wife, Paige, of St. Marys; and two grandchildren, Olivia and Luke Barwick, also of St. Marys.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, in Fowler Cemetery in Treutlen County with Pastor Steve Kegley officiating. There will be no visitation.

An additional memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23, at the First Baptist Church in St. Marys. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before services.

Sammons Funeral Home in Soperton is in charge of arrangements.
