Interment will follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
Mr. Lane was a native of Hico, TX, having made North Augusta his home for the past seven years. He was of the Baptist faith and a retired U.S. Army veteran with 24 years of service. During his service he deployed to Iraq, Kosovo and other assignments. Mr. Lane conclude his military service as a recruiter, later serving as Recruiting Station Commander. He was a member of the American Legion Jessie C. Lynch Memorial Post 71, the American Legion Riders and the Patriot Guard Riders. Mr. Lane had a passion for and volunteered with numerous charities benefiting veterans. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle.
Mr. Lane was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Lane and a brother, David Lane.
Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Lisa A. Lane; three sons Kenneth W. (Kelly) Lane, R.A.F. Molesworth, England, Christopher R. Lane, Colorado Springs, CO, Dakota L. Lane, North Augusta, SC; a daughter, Makayla R. Lane, North Augusta, SC; two grandchildren, Ethan Lane and Lily Lane; his mother Sherry Lane, Hico, TX; a brother, Terry (Sheila) Lane, Hico, TX; a sister Diana (Jeff) Cowen, Belton, TX.
