Funeral services for Frankie Sapp Richardson, 92 of Elko, SC will be held two p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with the Reverend Floyd Dukes and Dr. Chris Mullennix officiating; burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Pallbearers will be Dave Craig, Jason Hutto, Barry Nease, Donald Jack Richardson, Scotty Richardson and Jeffrey Sapp. Members of the Kate Odom Sunday School Class will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be given in Mrs. Frankie’s memory to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 304, Elko, SC 29826. Mrs. Frankie passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016.
Born in Evans County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Frank Sapp and Lillie Stringer Sapp and was married to the late Jacob Odell Richardson for 57 years. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where she previously served as the assistant Sunday School Director, WMU Director, Sunday School teacher in the adult women’s class and the Youth Department. Mrs. Frankie was a homemaker, loved her family and friends dearly, enjoyed crocheting and was a fantastic cook.
Survivors include daughters Jane Richardson, Karen W. (Mike) Gainey of Williston, SC; sons Milton O’Neal Richardson, Jimmy (Cheryl) Franklin Richardson of Elko, SC; sister Lillian McDonald of Pooler, GA; brothers James T. Sapp of Ricon, GA, Perry L. Sapp of Hardeeville, SC; grandchildren Scotty, James and Bryan Richardson; great grandchildren Stacy, Brandon, Katy, Alena, Craig, Troy; great, great grandchildren Coral Rose, Teagan, Derrick, Marley; Kase; special daughters Soeharti Lanier, Fang Hua Short; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Jerry M. Richardson; grandson Ronnie Richardson and a sister Alice Nease.
