Surviving are her sons Eugene (Denise) Hostetler of El Paso, IL and Allan (Joan) Hostetler of Morton, IL; daughters Doris (Dan) Mumm of Mahomet, IL and Carol Sue Borkholder of Kalamazoo, MI; daughter-in-law Kay Hostetler of Huddleston, VA; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother Willard (Arlene) Schrock of Tampa, FL; sister Mildred Schrock of Goshen, IN; and sister-in-law Natalina Schrock of Metamora. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Dennis Hostetler on November 8, 2016, infant brother, and brother Ralph Schrock.
Ada was a member of Metamora Mennonite Church and the Mennonite Women’s Group where she enjoyed quilting. After leaving the farm, she lived at Snyder Village where she continued her quilting and volunteered at the Et Cetera Shop in Eureka, IL. She also enjoyed baking. She cared for her family very deeply and took on the monumental task of caring for them after the death of their father.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 23, 2016 at Metamora Mennonite Church with church ministers officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel and also an hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Stewart Harmony Cemetery, Metamora. Memorials may be given to Mennonite Central Committee or Metamora Mennonite Church
