Linda M. Richter, age 59, of New Hampton, IA passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at her home in New Hampton.

Memorial services for Linda will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Conway-Markham Funeral Home in New Hampton with Pastor Kevin Frey officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, at Conway-Markham Funeral Home. Online condolences for Linda’s family may be left at www.conway-markhamfh.com. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Linda Marie Richter was born on August 24, 1957 in Oelwein, Iowa to Alberta and Thomas Short. She attended Wapsi Valley School outside of Fairbank, IA. After school, Linda had three children, Chris, Angela and Michelle. Later, she was united in marriage to Larry Richter and the couple welcomed two children, Larry, Jr. and William. In her spare time, Linda enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, camping, shopping; watching her husband and sons race cars and taking spontaneous trips with children and grandchildren. Linda most loved watching her grandchildren at sporting events. Sunday’s were Linda’s favorite day of the week and was always spent with family. They would spend the day cooking, watching MN Viking football and playing games.

Linda is survived by her husband, Larry Richter of New Hampton; four children, Chris (Sara) Onken of New Hampton, Angela Onken of Cedar Rapids, Michelle (Mike) Hutzell of New Hampton and William “Bill” Richter also of New Hampton; ten grandchildren, Nick, Austin, Jon, Sam, Abbey, Christopher, Caleb, Collin, Carter and Tucker; her sister, Ronnie (Ted) Geerts of New Hampton; several nieces and nephews and her favorite dog, Lucy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alberta and Thomas Short; her son, Larry Richter, Jr., her three brothers, Donald, Michael and Thomas, Jr., her father-in-law, Bernard Richter and brother-in-law, Wayne Richter.
