Willie was born in 1956 in Chicago to John Wesley and Mildred Perkins. He worked as a forklift driver at City Carton, Davenport. He also was a lifeguard for Chicago Park District. He was an outdoorsman, and enjoyed fishing. He was a curious, independent and optimistic person who was full of life. He never met a stranger, and everyone who met him felt loved.
Willie is survived by his daughter, LaTonya Glenn, of Davenport; grandchildren, Kylee Colzin, Jasmine Glenn, Amorae Glenn, Miracle Glenn and Tanyia Shealey; Willie's mother, Mildred Perkins, of Davenport; sisters, Della Perkins, of Rock Island and Marie Perkins, of Davenport; and brothers, John W. Jr. (Diane) Perkins and Edward (Patricia) Perkins, all of Davenport. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Octavia Shealey and his father, John W. Perkins Sr.
