Linda Kiefer Curry, age 66, fought a courageous battle, before passing into Our Lord's gentle embrace, on Saturday, December 10, 2016. Daughter of the late Paul Joseph Kiefer, Jr. and Beulah Mae Marchand Kiefer Legeaux Giorgio. Ex-wife of Robert ""Smokey"" Curry. Step mother of Jamie Curry Keyes (James), Connie McIntyre and Edmond McIntyre (Debbie). Sister of Paula Kiefer Burch (Randy), Douglas Paul Kiefer (Glenda) and Paul ""Sonny"" Kiefer III (Alice). Grandmother of James David Keyes III and Taylor McIntyre. Lifelong friend of Susie Jackson (Donnie), Pat Mills, Marion Tranchina, Diane Vercher and Karen Ruffino (Frankie). Also survived by many nieces, nephews and her furry best friend, Lexie. Linda was the most carefree, loving, goodhearted, generous and nicest person you would ever meet. She will be missed by all. She retired at 49 with 33 years of service with AT&T. After retiring from the phone company she was a mixologist at several establishments in Metairie. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 12:00 Noon. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park. Donations may be made in her name to ALS Association.
