Ethelda Marie (Wren) Bowins, 78, of Willis, Texas passed from this earth on December 18, 2016. Marie was born June 28, 1938 at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston Texas to Ed F. and Thelma Wren. Marie married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Dale Bowins on September 4, 1959. She was a member of Mims Baptist Church, where she worked as a team leader (Sunday school Class) Vacation Bible School and a Greeter. Marie is preceded in death by her mother and father, step-mother, Nina Wren and stepfather Elzie Burkhalter. Marie leaves behind her loving family, husband of 57 years, Jerry Dale Bowins; children, daughters, Gayle Lynn Willis and husband Michael, Gay Lynette Sealy and husband Vinson, Vicky Dale Coward and husband Rusty; brother David Burkhalter; sisters, Eddie Rene Wren Winne, Evelyn Padilla and Patsy Harrison; grandchildren, Jennifer Payne and husband Jerry Jr., Kristopher Willis and wife Lauren, Shelbi Sealy, Ruddy Coward and wife Merlyn, Dillon Coward; great grandchildren, Jerry Payne III, Justice Payne, Addilyn Willis and Luke Coward. She believed in the Lord and she had many friends. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm Thursday, December 22, 2016 with funeral service to begin at 1:00 pm and interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
