Wanda Faye Ellison, 74, of Boise, passed away, Friday , December 9, 2016 in Boise of natural causes.
Wanda is survived by her daughter Lorene Martinez and sons Kevin Kuck and Dustin Kuck all of Boise; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her siblings, Bob (Gunda) Ellison and Norma (David) Cornelison and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sister, Georgia, September 2015; brother, Don, May 2015 and granddaughter Laurie Kuck, Aug. 2004.
Wanda was born Sept 9, 1942 in Springfield, MO to Luther and Verna (Johnson) Ellison. In 1944 at the age of 2 yrs her parents moved to Greenleaf Idaho along with four older siblings. There she attended Greenleaf Friends Academy. Later they moved to Wilder, Id. and eventually settled in Caldwell where she graduated in 1960 from Caldwell High School.

It was in Caldwell that she met and later Married LeRoy Kuck in 1961. LeRoy was enlisted in the Army and they both resided together in Colorado Springs. During that time Wanda gave birth to her first child, Lorene. After returning from Colorado Wanda had her second child, Kevin. In 1964 they moved to Boise where they stayed and had their third child, Dustin.
Wanda didn't believe in idle hands and kept busy throughout her life. She worked as head Dietitian at the Veterans Memorial Hospital and retired after 20 yrs of service. During those years she received many performance and achievement awards and completed several managerial courses. That was not enough for her and outside of work she took home study courses that she graduated from and still found the time to be a Cub Scout leader.

After retiring, she found it did not suit her and she went to work for H&R Block as a tax prepare then later went to work for the School bus company in Boise where her daughter worked. She started out as a monitor on a bus and upon leaving the bus company 20 yrs later was the Payroll manager. She loved this job but more so the people she was surrounded with over the years. Aside from her own family she considered those she worked with as her extended family and formed many wonderful bonds and lasting relationships over the years including her friendship with Pastor Tim. Prior to retiring the second time she still felt the need to keep busy and opened a small thrift store with her daughter called Little House of Hoarders. She did not get to spend much time there due to her declining health but enjoyed the time that she did.

She loved fast cars and enjoyed showing her Classic 1970 Mach 1 Mustang in many car shows throughout the years. She loved the mountains and enjoyed spending time in Rocky Bar during the 70's at a cabin they bought known as the Honeymoon cabin. After selling, they later bought one in Idaho City where they enjoyed fixing it up and spending time there with there children and grandchildren. Although they later divorced they maintained a friendship and shared many seasons watching BSU games together and enjoyed many Holiday dinners with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She spent much time with her sister Georgia over the last decade, shopping, going out to dinner, many trips together and their shared love for Alan Jackson. She has missed her dearly this past year.

She genuinely loved people and found the good in everyone. Although she was not afraid to say what she thought and could be rebellious at times she still had a gentle presence about her, was mom to many and loved to be needed. She was forgiving and true to her faith. She had a heart that was forever giving and her love immeasurable as shown by those whom she cared for and took care of throughout her lifetime.

She was Caring, Giving & Genuine.
