Margaret Dorothy Bernauer was born March 5, 1928 to Thomas and Goldie Bernauer. She helped raise her fourteen siblings; married Kenneth Wellmeier July 6, 1950; raised eight children; enjoyed gardening and canning and did so up until the very end. Margaret was the true meaning of a good samaritan and cared for several elderly neighbors as well as her mother, Goldie, in her home for three years until she passed.
Margaret was an excellent cook as witnessed by many friends and family that would gather daily. She always welcomed everyone in and fed them; the family traveled every weekend to the family farm where she would prepare roasts and soups. She was a true homemaker and mother. In later years she kept busy cleaning houses for a living. She was a very giving and loving person, who truly enjoyed and loved her family.
Survivors include her children: Laura (George) Moench, Michael (Julie) Wellmeier, David (Sherri) Wellmeier, Linda Sue (Brian) Dahl, Katherine (Richard) Fee; sons-in-law+, Darryl Proesch and Bill Eaton; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild, and four brothers: Ronnie, Edward, Kenny, and Jimmy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; parents; siblings: Joseph, Bill, Tommy, Lucille May Holmes, Elaine Morris, Betty Conger, Daniel, a set of twins, and Jackie¬; a son, Thomas, daughters, Sharon Proesch and Judith Eaton and a granddaughter, Angela.
