Mr. McDaniel proudly served our great nation in the US Army for more than 20 years. He completed tours in Vietnam, and Germany as a US Army Ranger. A designation he took much pride in. While enlisted, Ralph did any and all jobs available to him and even went on to become a Quarter Master as well as the head of the Club System in Germany. Following his retirement, he and his beloved wife, Brenda (Brown), relocated to the Murrells Inlet area where he became an avid outdoorsman. Ralph especially loved golfing, and fishing. When he was not on the golf course or on the water, he could be found at home with his adoring family, watching and cheering on the Clemson Tigers. Ralph’s real passion in life was his family and his friends. With his favorite holiday approaching, he will be truly missed by any and all who had the pleasure of knowing him throughout the years.
Along with his wife, left to cherish Ralph’s memory are his sons, Ken McDaniel and his Wife Drae, Eric McDaniel and Steven McDaniel, all of South Carolina; his step-sons, Bryan Stegall and his wife Jennifer of South Carolina and Ronnie Gossett of Georgia; a step-daughter, Lesa Stegall of South Carolina. As well as a brother, Charles McDaniel and his wife Joyce; 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his four legged baby, Ceaser whom he cherished. Ralph is preceded in death by a sister, Louise Casey.
