Catherine attended Russiaville High School and was a homemaker. She worked at several different restaurants in the area and worked in retail at Sears. Catherine was a member of the Russiaville Methodist Church. She loved playing the piano, painting and woodcrafts.
For several years Catherine help Judge Dorcas Drake with the Drake Christmas toy drive.
Survivors include her children Judith (Bill) Townsend, of Peru, IN, Kay Nearon Yulee, of FL, Nancy (Michael) Smith of Laurel, IN, Rebecca Arpaia of Bradenton, FL, Robert Walls of Windfall, IN Fifteen grandchildren, Thirty-Four great grandchildren and Forty-Three great great grandchildren.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Maude Rodgers; son Howard Walls; daughter Anna Marie Chisholm; son-in-law Frank Arpaia; one grandson; brothers Don Rodgers, David Rodgers; sisters Ellen Zakrocki and Evelyn Wyant.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Stout & Son Funeral Home 200 E. Main St. with Pastor Anne Girton Kumeh officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 am till the start of the funeral service at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Buddy Bag Program at the Russiaville Methodist Church or to an organization of your choice. Online condolence may be left at www.stoutandson.com.
