Daughter of Eunice Beebe and Samuel Lewis. Her husband, Culpepper Hoadley, son of William Hoadley and Esther Porter, was born September 10, 1764, in Naugatuck, Connecticut. He learned the shoemaker's trade and was engaged in that business most of his life. He was a soldier of the Revolution and was a pensioner. Their children, born in Naugatuck, Connecticut:
1. Roxana, b July 15, 1787, m Richard Ward on December 15, 1811
2. Samuel, b June 14, 1790; went to sea and never returned
3. Leonard, b July 20, 1792; m Betsey Dunham
4. Larmon, b October 12, 1795; d June 20, 1826 in Naugatuck, unmarried
5. Alvin, b April 24, 1798; m Clara Vose; d September 20, 1850; no children
