Age, 89, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born May 22, 1927 in Milan, MI to Lester and Florence (Gruezke) Lentz. On June 16, 1956 she married Kenneth May at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Milan and he survives. Jean graduated from Milan High School in 1945. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Jean was a member of the Ladies Guild, the Mary-Esther Circle and served on the Altar Guild.

Survivors besides her husband, include daughter Andra Stackhouse and son Doug May; grandchildren, Steven (Alycia) Stackhouse, Jeffrey Stackhouse and Lisa Stackhouse; three brothers Harvey Lentz, Don (LuAnne) Lentz, and David (Juanita) Lentz and many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Dorcas Westrick and sister-in-laws Helena and Bobbie Lentz.

Visitation will be held at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home, Milan on Monday, December 19th, from 2-7pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 20th at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Milan at 10am with visitation beginning at 9am. Burial will follow at Marble Park Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church memorial fund or building fund.
