Kermit S. Earley, Jr., born June 13, 1939 in Fordyce, Arkansas, passed away at age 77 in Round Rock, Texas on December 14, 2016.

Following graduation from Fordyce High School in 1957, where he excelled academically and athletically, he served in the Army National Guard, then the US Air Force until 1960. In 1966 he earned his student pilot certificate. He made his career with Georgia Pacific, traveling extensively while residing over time in Fordyce, Sparkman, and El Dorado, Arkansas; Grenada and Hattiesburg, Mississippi; Augusta, Georgia and The Woodlands, Texas. Kermit retired July 1, 2004 and relocated to Round Rock, Texas.

Survivors include daughters, Laurie and husband, Duane Sivik of Taylor, Texas and Leslie and husband, John Sanny of Round Rock, Texas; son, Eric and wife, Mandy Earley of Clayton, New York; brother, Michael Joe and wife, Earlene Earley of Holly Springs, Arkansas. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, Christian McCall, Ashley Keller, Jacob Earley, Andrew Sanny, Avery Earley and Joshua Earley.

Kermit is preceded in death by parents, Kermit and Mildred Earley, sisters, Betty Lou Earley and Ann Shipman and grandson Chase McCall.

A Memorial Service will be held in Arkansas at a later date.
