Funeral services for Anita Hodges, 93, of Lufkin will be held in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Runnels officiating. Interment will follow in the Berry Cemetery.
Mrs. Hodges was born October 13, 1923 in Angelina County, Texas to the late Hattie (Haley) and William Franklin Ray, and died Saturday, December 17, 2016 in a local nursing home. She was a lifetime resident of Angelina County. Mrs. Hodges was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and a loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her children, Donald Ray Hodges, Sheila Shinn and husband Stephen, Mike Hodges, and Claire Hodges; grandchildren, Jeremy Shinn and wife Andrea, Stephanie Reeves and husband Ty, Melissa Marceaux and husband Zach, Amy Kelley and husband Jeff, Windham Hodges, and Forrest Hodges; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Rine; and niece, Cheryl Stephenson and husband Ron.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert “Bob” Hodges; and five siblings.
