Memorial services for Mark J. Goff, 33, Indianapolis, a former aide to Indianapolis Mayor William H. Hudnut, III, were conducted on Feb. 28, 1998 at Central Christian Church of Indianapolis. Goff was a community relations assistant with Marsh Supermarkets at the time of his death, as well as a customer service associate for Nordstrom Department Store in Circle Centre Mall. Previously he worked as media relations coordinator for Indianapolis Public Schools from 1991 to 1995. From 1986 to 1991, he was a deputy press secretary in Mayor Hudnut's office. Goff was past president of the Indiana Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association and had served on the board of directors of the Phoenix Theatre, Indiana Cares, Crossroads Performing Arts, Consortium Foundation, and Justice, Inc. He was a graduate of Indiana University and received a public management certificate from IU's School of Public and Environmental Affairs. He received the Golden Achievement Award from the National Schools Public Relations Association. He was a member of Central Christian Church. Survivors include daughter, Meghan Joy Goff; father, Joseph A. Goff; mother, Jeanette Jean Miller; sister Denise Elaine Goff Fultz Wills; stepbrothers, Richard Lee and Michael Wayne Dye; stepsister Barbara Dye Foster; half sisters Kelle Marie, Paige Rene Logsdon; and friend and former wife, Debra Sue Coffman Goff Durrett. Burial was at Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis.
