Lucinda P. Stever was born in Fincastle, Virginia in 1799 according to the 1850 Tennessee Cenus. She married John R. Fouts and was blessed with eight children; Oliver, Marcus, William, Martha, Mary, Susan, Alaline and Harriett. John and Lucinda sold their land and property in Hardysville, Virginia and moved to Chattanooga around 1840. They were among early pioneer settlers of Chattanooga.
We were unable to determine the date of death for Lucinda due to either burned or destroyed records. She is buried along with John and Marcus in the Citizens Cemetery on Third Street across from the School of Arts and Science in Chattanooga, Tennessee. We have examined the grave site to try and locate a date of death on the grave marker, but only the name is listed.
