Daughter of Major Thompson Douglass and Cornelia R. Bissell. Married William Pope, eldest son of Judge Nathaniel Pope and Lucretia Bakus, on May 13, 1838. She and William's children were: Nathaniel, Douglass, Cornelia Bowen, Capt. John Pope, William and Lucretia Cadwallader. Resident of Springfield since 1845. Member of the Episcopal Church. One of the founders of the Old Ladies' society. Mrs. Pope died in a fire in her home.
