Jack Charles HOLLOWAY (02/12/1930 - 12/09/2016)

Jack Charles (Age 86)was born in Bonham, Texas on February 12, 1930 to Lawrence E. and Ruby Holloway. Jack's mother moved the family to San Diego, CA when he was five years old. Jack graduated from Sweetwater High School in National City, CA, then enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1947. He was stationed at Lackland Air Base and later at Fairchild Air Force Base where he met the love of his life, Hilla May West. They married in 1949.

He was trained as a Cryptographer during the Korean War. After leaving the service, he moved back to San Ysidro, CA with his wife, son and daughter and joined the San Diego Police Department. Later they moved to Las Vegas, NV where he became a Deputy Sheriff. After a year, the family settled in Spokane, WA.

He is survived by his daughter Teresa Ann Gelhausen; grandchildren Wade, Adam, Bret, Marcos and Clarissa; nine great-grandchildren and brothers Bob Holloway and Jerry Sanger.

He was preceded in death by his wife Hilla May, son Richard, daughter Bonnie Joy and his parents.

Scattering of his ashes will be at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA in the Spring.
