Funeral services for Amy Whitehead Ford, 60, of West Monroe will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday December 19, 2016 in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel Monroe, LA, with Rev. Jon Tellifero officiating. Interment will be in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.

Amy was born on May 17, 1956 in Winnfield, LA and passed away peacefully at home on December 16, 2016 after a long courageous fight with cancer. She is preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and Jennie Whitehead; brother, Philip Whitehead and his wife, Charlene; paternal grandparents, John and Celenia Whitehead, and Clyde and Eva Berry; and her mother and father-in-law, Tim and Lillian Ford, Sr.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 35 years, Tim E. Ford, Jr.; daughters, April Campbell and husband, Terry, and Geannie Ford Savell and husband, Bryan; sons, Jason Ford, Andy Sanders, and Timothy Elijah “Trey” Ford, III.; grandchildren, Aden Derek Ford, Trinity Lynn Ford, Abbagail Taylor Wallace, Meckenzie Campbell, Aubrey Janson “A.J” Campbell, Elijah Ryan Brandon, Anna Lynn Savell, Levi James Savell, Henley Grace Savell, Charlie Mae Rushing, CJ Rushing, and Carter Harrison Rushing; brothers, Alan Whitehead and wife, Virginia, Karl Whitehead and wife, Cheryl; niece, Stephanie Whitehead Rushing and husband, Chris; nephews, Brett Whitehead, Tristan Whitehead, Robin Whitehead and wife, Courtney, Brion Whitehead and wife, Amy, Josh Whitehead and wife, Jennifer; great nieces, Karlie Whitehead, and Kinley Harvey great nephews, Cooper Harvey, Payton Whitehead and Camden Whitehead; uncles, Bill Berry and wife, Mary and Jim Berry and wife, Margaret; and her beloved friend, Melinda Emory. Amy was always of her other loves, Shannon Harkins and wife, Tanya, Josh Smith and wife, Jessica, Heath McLemore and wife, Alicia and Shane Watson and numerous cousins.

She loved to watch her kids and their friends grow up and have kids of their own. To see the kids that she watched play ball grow up and coach their kids was a real joy of growing “Ole”. Amy spent much of Spring and Summers with her kids at the ballpark’s helping her husband by keeping score and stats for his teams and sometimes having to watch 4 games at the same time. She was a 1974 graduate of Winnfield Senior High and was employed by Plymouth Tube and the Monroe Civic Center.

Pallbearers will be Brett Whitehead, Robin Whitehead, Brion Whitehead, Robert Whitehead, Chris Rushing, Josh Smith, Shannon Harkins, and Heath McLemore. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tristan Whitehead, Josh Whitehead, Roger Berry, Shane Watson, and Eddie Hogan.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

The family would like to thank all of those who supported and prayed for her and her family through her courageous battle.

In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
