Candace "Candy" Rogers Smith, 85, was a daughter to the late Robert and Blanche Wheeler Rogers. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Walter Smith; brother, Robert Rogers; daughter, Cheryl S. Lutz.
Candace devoted her life's work to her husband, children and home. She had an early career as a nurse's aide, and continued service as a Charter Member of the Catawba Memorial Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary, working in the gift shop for over 40 years. Candace was an avid, award winning bowler with the Homemakers League at Twin City Lanes in Newton, Pressure Cooker League at Colonial Lanes in Hickory and later with the Sunday Late Nighters at Pin Station in Newton.
Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Smith family.
