Staten Island Advance (NY) - Thursday, August 2, 2001:

Mildred Bellezza, 89, of Willowbrook, a lifelong Staten Islander, former billing clerk and a homemaker, died Monday at home.

Born Mildred Tricorico in Port Richmond, she settled in Willowbrook in 1945.

As a young woman, Mrs. Bellezza worked for about seven years as a billing clerk for Sterling Drugs in Manhattan before devoting herself to being a homemaker.

She attended the former Staten Island Vocational High School, Elm Park.

Mrs. Bellezza was a parishioner of Holy Family R.C. Church, Westerleigh.

She enjoyed dressmaking, knitting, crocheting, cooking and baking.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Nicholas; her brother, Robert Tricorico, and her sister, Anna Poshluck.

There will be a memorial mass Aug. 18 at 11 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Arrangements are being handled by the Matthew Funeral Home, Willowbrook, with cremation in Rosehill Crematory, Linden, N.J.

(there appears to be an error in the obit for where her ashes went, or they were likely moved later when her husband died)
