Donna Rae House Wyatt was born Sept. 16, 1933, in Terre Haute, Ind., to Don and Marie (Randolph) House. She graduated Glenn High School in 1951. Donna married the love of her life, Bob Wyatt, on Jan. 4, 1953. They had three boys before relocating to Fort Lauderdale in 1970. Donna worked in elementary schools as the office manager. She and Bob moved to Sanford in 1985, where she worked for the school district. After retiring they moved to Englewood. Donna and Bob were world travelers, enjoying numerous cruises. They were also involved in square dancing for over 20 years.
She and Bob were married for 62 years until his passing in 2015. Donna battled kidney cancer since 1997 and finally lost her battle Dec. 14, 2016. She leaves behind two aunts, Violet (Randolph) Cooper Barnes and June (Randolph) Sitarski; her brother, Don House (June); four sons, Dan (Mary), Don (Michele), Rick (Grace) and Daniel Hernandez (Dina); eight grandchildren; 4 ½ great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. on Sunday with services to follow at Lemon Bay Funeral Home. Burial will be private at Sarasota National Cemetery.
Lemon Bay Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
