Joseph's father John was born near Tipperary, Ireland and immigrated to the United States. After he had saved enough money, he sent for his true love, Mary (Joseph's Mother) to come here also. Her maiden name was Fulton. Mary came over with John's older brother, but they were separated on the first day here and no more of him is known.
