Larry Delmas Steele of Colerain Township, Ohio and formerly of Matewan, W.Va., was born on January 6, 1944, in Matewan, W.Va., a son of the late Elmer and Norma Richmond Steele departed this life on Thursday December 15, 2016, at Hospice of Hamilton, Ohio.

Larry was a graduate of Magnolia High School and went on to work until his retirement for Overnite Trucking having 37 years of service as a truck driver.

Survivors include his fiancé Peggy Lawrence, children Bill Steele and his wife Mary, John Steele and his wife Lori, Mike Steele and his wife Cate and Tony Steele and his wife Becky; five grandchildren, Angela, Brittany, Michael, Morgan, and Samantha; four great grandchildren, Isabella, Logan, Luke, and Gia; two brothers Samuel Steele and his wife Carol, Jack Steele and his wife Geneva, and a sister Vicky Fields.

Larry is also survived by a host of other loving relative and friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Honoring services will be conducted on Monday December 19, 2016, beginning at 12:00 p.m., in the Chambers Funeral Services Chapel with burial to follow in the Steele Family Cemetery at Meador, W.Va., family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will begin receiving friends on Monday morning December 19, 2016, beginning at 11:00 a.m., until the time of the funeral service.

Local arrangements have been entrusted to Chambers Funeral Services, Inc., of Matewan, W.Va., with assistance from the Charles C. Young Funeral Home of Ross, OH
