She was a 1973 graduate of Milan High School where she was member of the flag corp. She attended college and later opened The Elsa Shop downtown Milan from 1976-1982. Mrs. Henson, along with husband Cary, was owner and CFO of Henson Construction Services, Inc. in Jackson, TN. She was featured recently in the Jackson Sun Community Spotlight. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Jackson where she was a 2nd grade Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Henson was a dedicated sponsor of Madison County charities and loved helping with youth athletics. Henson Construction Services has awarded to date in excess of $90,000 in HCS Future Building scholarships to local high school graduates. She served on the Madison County Audit Committee and 911 Board, former member of USJ Board, USJ Building Committee and USJ Booster Clubs, Jackson Chamber of Commerce, Vice Chair Madison County Republican Party and Past Chair of Madison County Republican Women. She was highly regarded by area political officials as a dedicated and committed supporter, worker, campaigner and donor of worthy candidates and issues. She was better known as "Mimi" by her grandchildren who were the apple of her eye. She loved her family and as often referred to as "Mrs. Clause" at Christmas gatherings. She worked hard at pleasing everyone and made sure everyone had their wish list fulfilled. She worked tirelessly to give everyone the best Christmas ever and she loved watching everyone open their gifts. She loved to vacation and travel in style with her family and friends who called her "Mo T". She was also known as "Ms. Bling Bling" for her flare for fashion. She was the rock of the family and will be missed sorely. Her generous and loving spirit and contagious laugh will remain in the hearts of her loved ones forever. Mrs. Henson was preceded in death by her mother, Sheril Elliott.
