Robert Marvin “Bob” Rowland, 75, of San Angelo went to be with his Lord on Friday, December 9, 2016, in San Angelo. Bob was born March 5, 1941 to Marvin and Martine Howell Rowland. He grew up in Midland, Texas.

After high school, Bob honorably served his country in the United States Army. After his time in service, Bob went to work for Schumann Engineering as a land surveyor and retired after 40 years of loyal service. Bob’s strong work ethic and the devotion to his career at Schumann provided a long time reciprocal family relationship with his employer, Max, and his family.

Bob was a devout man of God and was a member of the Fairmont Park Church of Christ in Midland, Texas until his move to San Angelo. Bob married Lena Harkey on October 20, 1979 and they shared 37 wonderful years together.

In his spare time, he loved garage sale shopping which led to an enjoyment for repairing purchased treasures and tinkering with handyman tasks. He had an incredibly happy disposition for life that gifted him with making friends easily. Above all, Bob was a very loving, caring and devoted husband and father and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, five children, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a Brother, and the mother of his children. The Graveside Service December 19, 2016, at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
