ZAVAGLI, DELIA A., 78, of Rockford, IL, passed away at 7 a.m. Monday, April 17, 2006, in Rockford Memorial Hospital after a pro-longed illness.

Delia was born June 8, 1927, in Rockford, the daughter of Carlo and Laura Adami. She lived most of her years in Rockford where she attended Muldoon High School. She married her husband in Rockford on November 30, 1946. Delia was first employed with J.L. Clark in administration and then later by Flowers By Connie. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and donated a great deal of her time with the Pink Ladies Volunteers and with the Pink Ball.

She was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Aurelia, Sylvia and Lucia; and a brother, Caesar.

Survivors include her husband, two sons, three grandsons, one brother, and also nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2006, in Holy Family Catholic Church, with a father officiating. Burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, with Rosary recited at 6 p.m., at Gasparini & Oliveri Funeral Home. Arrangements by Gasprini & Oliveri Funeral Home, 707 Marchesano Drive.
