Martha Elizabeth Bowler "Peaches" Redding, 100, of Shelbyville, died Friday, December 16, 2016 at the Symphony at Oaklawn in Louisville. She had been employed as a bookkeeper for Production Credit Association. At her death, she was the oldest living member of Shelbyville First Baptist Church, as well as being the one who had been a member there the longest--"since 1925. She also had been active in the Young-At-Heart group.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard "Git" Redding. She is survived by her niece, Patricia Johnston Guth of Missoula, MT; her great friend, Don Reinhardt of Louisville; several great nieces and nephews; and several great great nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17th at the Shannon Funeral Home with Dr. Geoffrey McGillen and Don Reinhardt officiating. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.


Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Shelbyville First Baptist Church.
