July 13, 1936 - Dec. 11, 2016 Captain Clinton Theodore Stephens, Jr. U. S. Navy-Retired. He was born on July 13, 1936 in Montgomery, AL and passed away December 11, 2016 in Plano, TX. Captain Stephens was Manager of Business Development- Aerospace Industry - Worked closely with all of the Apollo Missions and Shuttle Missions. He was a Captain and Commanding Officer in the U.S. Navy, retiring after 28 years of service. Recognized nationally in Who's Who among High School and University Students, he was awarded multiple commendations for community service and academic achievement. He was member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, Slidell Newcomers Club, and the Elks Lodge in Destin, Florida. He married Carol Kruse Stephens on March 4th 1967 in Garden Grove, CA and the ceremony was performed by the Rev. Robert Schuller. His parents, C. T. and Vera Stephens; his loving wife, Carol and son-in-law, Richard Adam preceded him in death. Survived by his children: Martin Rolfe Blei (Janell Blei) of Slidell, LA; Michael Clinton Stephens (Brittany Stephens) of Dallas, TX; and Victoria Stephens Adam of Slidell, LA; four grandchildren: Marti Elizabeth Adam, Rhett Richard Adam, Chloe Chenelle Adam, and Jack Clinton Stephens. His service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Sunday at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
