Brenda Marie Stevens, 61, of Garner, NC was born on September 14, 1955. She passed away peacefully on December 6, 2016. Brenda fought a long and courageous battle with health issues for many years. Brenda was a loving mother and sister and will be greatly missed. Brenda has moved on to a place of peace and comfort with her Lord and Savior. Brenda was preceded in death and is now rejoicing with her mother, Marie Norton; father, John Henry Norton and other family members. Brenda is survived by her two beloved sons, John Stevens and Christopher Stevens; one son-in-law, John Jones; four sisters, Linda Morton, Gail Strickland, Debbie Taylor and Alice Hobbs. A service celebrating Brenda’s life will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Haven Free Will Baptist Church 5408 Tryon Rd., Raleigh, NC 27606 beginning with a visitation at 12 Noon followed by a funeral service at 1:30 pm. Interment will follow services at Bethlehem Church Cemetery 8400 Poole Rd., Knightdale, NC 27545.
