Bud served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He worked for Dow Chemical as a boiler maker and welder for 36 years retiring in 1979. He was a member of the Daniels Band, American Legion and the Moose Lodge. Bud loved to dance. He was an avid golfer once getting a hole in one in 2000. He traveled across the United States and sky dived at the age of 70. Bud spent 33 years wintering in Florida and manage a campground at Indian River in the summer.
Bud is survived by his sons, Garry (Sharon) Clark, Larry (Sheryl) Clark, and daughter, June (Mike) Spitnale. He is also survived by Karl (Deborah) Kretz, special friend, Mona Friedel, grandchildren; Rick Clark, Tammy Castillo, Amy Wiederhold, Dr. Brett Spitnale, Karlina Grant, Tracy Summers, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
He was predeceased by his parents Herbert and Hazel (Hoggard) Clark, sisters, Millie Wenzel, Marjorie Duford, Dorothy King, Ida Mae and grandson Kyle Fossett.
A funeral service will take place at Smith-Miner Funeral Home on Monday, December 19, 2016 with Rev. Randy Govitz and Don Duford officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday, December 18th from 4-7 pm and on Monday at 10 a.m. until the time of service. Military honors will be under the auspices United States Army and Midland County Veterans.
