-------------------------
The marriage of Miss Barbara Schicker to Raymond J. Semple took place on Wednesday morning, May 16th, at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The ceremony was performed by Rev. John Schellhorn and high mass was sung by the children’s choir. Miss Christine Schicker, cousin of the bride, and Miss Gertrude Koch were bridesmaids; Miss Sophia Semple, sister of the groom, was maid of honor, and Henry Schicker, brother of the bride, and Henry Keifer were the bridegroom’s attendants.

The bride wore ivory crepe de Chine with Georgette crepe trimmed with baby Irish lace. Her veil was scalloped in fan fashion and was caught with orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of roses and lilies of the valley. The bridesmaids were attired in pale pink and pale blue crepe de Chine and carried corsage bouquets of pink roses. The maid of honor wore sea-foam green crepe de Chine and carried a corsage bouquet of pink roses.

Dinner was served at the home of the bride, with covers laid for forty.

The groom’s gift to the bride was a bracelet set with diamonds, and to the best men gold knives and chains. The bride’s gifts to her attendants were lavallieres set with their birth stones and pearls.

Variety showers were given by Miss Sophia Semple and Mrs. T. Cummings, and a kitchen shower were given by Miss Gertrude Koch and Miss Mildred Bochmer.

After a western trip Mr. and Mrs. Semple will be at home at No. 446 Lake avenue.
