The month of birth is in error on the gravestone, it should be Nov. 4, 1920.
Death has come to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Bingaman recently and taken from them their infant daughter, Bertha Iola, age five weeks. The little one had pneumonia and was taken bad from the start. She was a fine bright baby girl, and the parents, brothers and sisters, are sorrowing over the vacant crib in the home. May they be able to say like David of old: "The Lord gave and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord." The little one was laid to rest in Mission cemetery after a short service by sympathizing friends. (Marshfield Mail, Marshfield, MO, Dec. 23, 1920, p. 8, Col. 4-5)
