Janet Wheeler passed away Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, at St. Mary Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was 57.

Born in Abington, Pa., daughter of the late Harry and Joan Gansrich, she was raised in Bristol Township and was a Bristol Borough resident for the past 25 years.

Janet was a graduate of Delhaas High School, Class of 1976 and was employed for the past 20 years as a crossing guard in Bristol Township.

She loved spending her summers at the Driftwood Camping Resort at the Jersey shore and walking along the Ocean City Boardwalk since she was a little girl. She enjoyed nights out with her husband and holiday gatherings at her home, but most especially loved being a mother and spending time with her grandchildren. Janet was a great story teller and made everyone laugh and was loved by everyone she met. She will be sadly missed by her many friends and family.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Vincent Wheeler, her loving daughters, Stephanie Moore and her husband, Michael and Jennifer Wheeler; and her precious grandchildren, Micah and Kyan Moore and Arianna Wheeler. She also is survived by one brother, Brad Gansrich; brother-in-law, Paul Wheeler and his wife, Betty; sisters-in-law, Jane Wheeler and Ruth Wheeler; and best friend, Kit Kelly; along with many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Paul and Rufina Wheeler, brothers-in-law, Mark and Kenneth Wheeler and sister-in-law, Bridget Wheeler.

The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at Regional Hematology Oncology Associates and St. Mary Medical Center ICU.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at St. Mark Church, Bristol Borough. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
