She was born Aug. 22, 1941, daughter of the late Homer Turner and the late Amy Bond Turner.
After graduating from Elberton High School, she moved to the Atlanta area where she lived all her adult life. She retired as a sales person from Montag Paper Company. Peggy enjoyed the beach, mountains, traveling, reading, family and friends.
Survivors include her brother Coy Turner and wife Glenda, niece LeAnne Turner, nephews Stephen Turner and Craig Brown, brother-in- law Sanders Brown, great-nephew Parker Williams and his wife Destiny and their daughter Sabel, all of Elberton. In addition, survivors include great-niece Fallon Williams of Hartwell and longtime friend Marty Freeman of Riverdale. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by a sister, Gurvis Ann Brown.
Peggy requested cremation and a graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. at Rock Branch Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, Dec. 10 with the burial of ashes in the church cemetery.
