David Michael Booker, 63, passed away on December 13, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Born on April 12, 1953 in Virginia Beach, Virginia, the son of Robert and Scharlotte (Carver) Booker, Dave was a resident of Millington, Tennessee for 44 years. He graduated from James Campbell High School in Ewa Beach, Hawaii and Memphis State University.

In 1972, he was married to Kimberly Marshall Booker at First Baptist Church of Millington. They have two children and five grandchildren.

Dave was employed by Bartlett Police Department for 2 years and he proudly served with the Memphis Police Department for 28 years. He received multiple awards from the Memphis Police Department and the Wonder Series. Following his retirement, Dave worked for IEC School and was a Code Inspector for Millington and Shelby Counties. He was self-employed as a general contractor and also owned and operated a direct garment printing business "Sew Name It" with his wife, Kim. Dave was a long-time active member of First Baptist Church of Millington where he loved singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School and serving as a deacon, and Gideon. Dave also enjoyed spending time with his sister-in-law with special needs, Brenda Marshall.

Dave is survived by his wife, Kim (Millington, TN); his daughter, Kasey and her husband, the Reverend Matthew Ainsley; their children Windsor and Pippa (Orlando, FL); his son, John Robert and his wife, Heather; their children, Milo, Lennon and Harvey (Arnold, MO). He is also survived by his sister, Donna Gilbreath (Covington, TN); mother-in-law, Mary Marshall (Columbus, GA); and several nieces and nephews. Dave was predeceased by father, Robert Booker and father-in-law, John Marshall.
