Dick was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Mechanicsburg VFW Post 6704, a member of the Mechanicsburg American Legion Post 109, and the Shepherdstown United Methodist Church. Dick worked for the Harrisburg Division of the General Medical Corporation.
Dick married Lola J. Guise in 1961 at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in York Springs Adams County PA.
Dick was 48 years old when he died of cancer on Tuesday March 20th 1979 at the Mercy Catholic Center in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. His funeral was held on March 23rd 1979 at the Myers Funeral Home 37 East Main Street Mechanicsburg Pennsylvania. The Reverend Stewart F. Bingman conducted the services.
