Dennis Duane Pearce, 61, Roscommon, died Dec. 8, 2016, in Lake Township, Houghton Lake, due to injuries suffered in automobile accident on northbound U.S. 127.
Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon, handled arrangements. Visitation will be held there Friday, Dec. 16, from 11:30 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m. Brandon Rodgers will officiate. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery, Roscommon. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
He was born in Detroit April 9, 1955, the son of Richard Duane and Ethel Fay (King) Pearce. He had lived in Roscommon since 2006, in Flat Rock for one year and in South Lyon for seven years, having moved from New Hudson.
He and Laura L. Raines were married May 10, 1997, in New Hudson. He retired in 2009 as a team leader at Ford Motor Company, having worked for 27 years at the Rouge Plant and eight years at Flat Rock. He loved fixing cars.
Preceding Mr. Pearce in death was his father, Richard.
Surviving are his wife, Laura; six children, Ron (Laura) Pearce of Novi, Dan (Kyna) Pearce of Canton, Erin (Ruben) Mauricio of California, Victoria Pearce of Ann Arbor, Rachel Marshall of Ecorse and Elizabeth Pearce of Roscommon; 13 grandchildren; mother, Ethel Pearce of Roscommon; sisters, Marilyn (Mike) Shunk of Howell, Rhonda (Howard) Blair of Douglasville, GA, and Pamela (Mitchell) Johnson of Pinckney; brother, Mark Pearce of Roscommon; and many nieces and nephews.
