Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart. Services will follow at 2 p.m. in Lakeview United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jon Farris, pastor of Lakeview United Methodist Church, and Rusty Hancock, pastor of Lincoln Street Baptist Church of Dalhart, officiating. Arrangements are by Horizon Funeral Home of Dalhart.
Doreen was born Feb. 2, 1925, in Saskatchewan, Canada, to Ralph A. and Lela Mae Snyder Stanley. Doreen moved to California at age two with her parents, who later moved to the Dumas area to farm. She was a graduate of Dumas High School. She married J.L. Graham in 1947 and two sons, Gary and John, were born to this union. J.L. passed away in Kerrville in 1973. She married Ruben Zumwalt on May 20, 1979. Doreen was a homemaker and loved helping her husband in his business endeavors. She always had a cup of coffee for friends and a loving spirit to help anyone in need. Doreen was a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Zumwalt Trick of Seattle; a son, Tom Zumwalt of Massachusetts; a granddaughter; a sister, Elizabeth Marie Graham of San Antonio; a nephew, Jim B. Brown; and four nieces, Joan Cumming, Janelle Michael, D'Lisa Turner and Denise Webb.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, J.L. Graham and Ruben Zumwalt; two sons, Gary Graham and John Graham; her parents; a brother, Kenneth Stanley; and two sisters, Cecile Chennault and Gladys Bearden.
