Mr. Donnie Chestnut, 78, passed away Saturday, February 07, 2015 at his home following a brief illness.
Born July 31, 1936 in Conway, Donnie was the son of the late Vallie Dew and Hattie Lee Chestnut. He was a sales representative for Suburban Propane and retired after many years of service. Mr. Chestnut attended Christ Like Chapel.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 32 years, Fran Chestnut; his children, Kregg Chestnut and wife Cheri, Lynn Chestnut and wife Karyn, and Tammy Kemp and husband Mike; his step-sons, Paul Craig, Jesse Craig, and James Craig; his step-daughter, Genia Craig; his grandchildren, Heather, Lindsey, David Christopher, Christopher, Jonathan, Mikie, Seemone, Devin, Cody, Jessica, Reid, Jarrett, and Alex; 11 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Laudie Chestnut and wife Myrna.
Mr. Chestnut was predeceased by his son, Chris Chestnut; his grandson, Justin Strickland; his brother, J. D. Chestnut; and his sisters, Alma Todd, Janie Mae Hughes, Inez Hughes, and Helen Todd.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel, officiated by Rev. Dale Chestnut. Burial will follow in the Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00PM-2:00PM.
The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to his niece, Anita Chestnut and her husband Linwood, his nephew, Dale Chestnut, the hospice nurses, Monica and Marianne, and the nurses' aides, Gloria and Sheila.
