She was employed at the former Western Electric, Allentown, for 21 years,and was a member of the Pioneers of Allentown. Emma was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Bethlehem, and was active in the church Fellowship Club.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, George Altemus of Pittsburgh and Raymond Altemus of Reno, Nev., as well as two sisters, Helen Stahler and Hilda Correll, both of Bethlehem, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2007, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem. Family and friends may call from 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. Thursday in the church. Arrangements, Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
