Emma K. Peters, 88, of Bethlehem, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2007 at Hospice House of the V.N.A. of St. Lukes, Lower Saucon Township. She was born in Lebanon, Pa., the daughter of the late John and Julia (Gomboz) Keretz. Emma was the wife of the late Joseph Peters, who died in 1992, and George Altemus, who died in 1944.

She was employed at the former Western Electric, Allentown, for 21 years,and was a member of the Pioneers of Allentown. Emma was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Bethlehem, and was active in the church Fellowship Club.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, George Altemus of Pittsburgh and Raymond Altemus of Reno, Nev., as well as two sisters, Helen Stahler and Hilda Correll, both of Bethlehem, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2007, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem. Family and friends may call from 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. Thursday in the church. Arrangements, Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
